Australia doesn’t ‘get’ Pacific Islander challenges

A forum, featuring researchers, politicians and community leaders, made a declaration suggesting that Australia can help Pacific Island communities in a much wider range of ways than simply responding to disasters such as tropical cyclones. The forum highlighted how little many Australians understand about the implications of these events. To find out more Barometer’s Des Lawrence spoke to Steven Cork, Adjunct Associate Professor, from the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University.
