Dr Phyllis Jane (PJ) Rose
A thespian as well as a lesbian, PJ is a director, educator & organizer in fields that include theatre, radio, community cultural development (& sometimes taxi driving). She’s worked in Nicaragua, Indonesia, the USA & Australia with youth, adults & elders in indigenous, multi-cultural, multi-gendered & multi-abled communities. Former artistic director of No Strings Attached Theatre of Disability and former program manager at Radio Adelaide, PJ has founded and directed theatre companies, produced and presented radio programs, co-written and produced radio and stage plays, convened international conferences. A passionate lifelong learner, she continues post-graduate research into theatre, political possibilities, anti-racism & softball. A Radio Adelaide volunteer since 1996, PJ is delighted to join colleagues on the new Board of Directors to help nurture Radio Adelaide to financial independence and health. Lust brought PJ to Australia; love, families & artistic communities keep her here.
