Adelaide Fringe Review 2025: Fountain Lakes: A Very Foxy Parody Musical
Posted on: Sat 22 Mar 2025

Fountain Lakes: A Very Foxy Parody Musical is the shindig you didn’t know you needed, but trust me, you do. This show is as effluent as a new plasma screen in the front room.
Kath, Kim, Sharon, Kel, Brett and the whole gang are brought to life with such pizzazz and baby cheeses, you’d think they’d just stepped out of Fountain Gate. The mannerisms, the accents, the fashion, oh, the fashion! it’s all there, darl. It is absolutely hilarious and heartwarming, chaotic and effluent, the audience loved it and could not stop laughing!
The musical numbers are catchier than Sharon’s netball passes. Songs like “Noice, Different, Unusual” and “Emotional Pashrash” won the crowd, what a night! It’s like they took the essence of the show and sprinkled it with a bit of fairy dust from Kath’s craft box. The choreography? Let’s just say, if dancing was a sport, these folks would be gold medalists at the Fountain Lakes Community Centre.
The attention to detail is more meticulous than Kim’s makeup routine. Every “look at moi,” every hair flick, every passive-aggressive mother-daughter exchange is executed with precision. It’s a love letter to the original series, penned in glitter gel pen, of course.
Even if you lived under a rock and have no idea who Kath & Kim are, this musical show sums up the series so perfectly you will adore this special treat of Australian TV culture! The cast was amazing in every ways and we had a ball!
So, grab your best cardy, slap on some fake tan, and get yourself to the kingfisher for the last performance before the fringe is over @Gluttony “Fountain Lakes: A Very Foxy Parody Musical.” It’s noice, it’s different, it’s unusual and it’s absolutely unmissable.
