Adelaide Fringe Review 2025: Come Together 2 – The Beatles Rock Show
Posted on: Thu 20 Mar 2025

The spirit of The Beatles is alive and thriving at this year’s Adelaide Fringe with Come Together 2 – The Beatles Rock Show, a revamped and electrifying tribute that transports audiences straight into the golden era of rock ‘n’ roll. With a fresh setlist, fabulous harmonies, beautiful new costumes, mesmerising choreographies and an infectious energy that fills the room, this latest edition of the show is a love letter to one of the most iconic bands in history.
This year’s performance doesn’t just replay Beatles classics: it reinvents the experience. From the moment the band launched into the opening number, it was clear that Come Together 2 wasn’t just about nostalgia; it was about celebrating The Beatles’ lasting impact with a modern theatrical twist. The musicians’ impeccable harmonies and masterful instrumentals breathed new life into legendary tracks, effortlessly capturing the powerful energy of With a little help from my friends, the psychedelic wonder of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, and the heartfelt anthem that is Hey Jude to name a few.
But let’s talk about Rachel Vidoni, the sonic powerhouse who took this show to another dimension. This woman’s voice could shake the stars. Having a female lead taking on such an iconic band, and then having the confidence to give it a twist and make it her own is pure magic. Her vocals aren’t just heard: they’re felt, deep in your bones, vibrating through the very air. One moment, she’s pouring her soul into Blackbird, sending chills down your spine; the next, she’s belting Help with the raw passion of a rock goddess. This isn’t just a tribute: it’s a reinvention, proving that Beatles music is timeless, boundless, and still a force of nature.
The backing singers Kylie Ferreira and Emily Isaacs were the heartbeat of the show, proving that behind every great band is a choir of angels lifting them even higher. As for the musicians, superstars Ben Whittington on guitar, Lee Nash on bass, Kyle Sambell on drums and Russell James on keyboards, they were all absolutely amazing delivering exceptional performances. And just when you thought the night couldn’t get more electrifying, the dancers took it to another level. The fusion of movement and music was seamless, making every song feel like a living, breathing story unfolding before our eyes thanks to the talent of Rachel Durski and Maddison.
A must-see for Beatles fans and music lovers alike, Come Together 2 – The Beatles Rock Show is more than a tribute; it’s a celebration of an era, a band, and the songs that continue to inspire generations.
Because that’s the thing about The Beatles, their music isn’t just something you listen to. It’s something you live, something you feel in your soul.
