Ilbijerri Theatre Company is bringing their original theatre piece Big Name No Blankets written by Andrea James to the 2025 Adelaide Festival after touring it through Correctional Service Facilities around the country; it’s a play about the Warumpi Band, celebrating the origins of the globally successful outfit. Co-Director of the piece Dr Rachael Maza AM speaks here with David Jobling from Art Throb; we enter the conversation after David has asked, “How did the play come to you?” and Dr Maza has mentioned her colleague and Co-Director of Big Name No Blankets Anyupa Butcher.
