Mid Wife Crisis

After 40 years as a midwife, wife and mother, Sarah Stewart has embraced her creative side. One aspect is stand up comedy which Sarah has been doing for the last four years in Canberra and Sydney. After several sold out seasons at the Canberra Comedy Festival and Sydney Fringe Comedy as part of “The Women’s Room” Sarah debuted her first solo show “Midwife Crisis” to sold out audiences in Canberra and the North Australian Festival of Arts in October 2024. This year Sarah is touring her show to the Adelaide Fringe and then around Australia. Passionate about using comedy to break down taboos of aging and death, Sarah talks here with Art Throb‘s David Jobling.
