Today, to accompany our interview with Greg Barron about Boer War Veteran Charlie Gaunt, we take a step back in time with an excerpt from an interview we did five years ago with Tony Stimson, whose own Grandfather served in the Boer War. Why did Aussies such as Tony’s Grandfather volunteer to fight in a war where there was no obvious Australian interest?
