A headstone for David Hylton O’Riley?

Daniel O’Brien OAM & Sharyn Glen discuss David Hylton O’Riley… David came from a large Aussie family… 5 sisters and 2 brothers. He served during WW2 with the Australian Merchant Navy and with US Army Small Ships in New Guinea. Indications are that he was also on the USS Astoria at some stage of the war, a New Orleans-class cruiser of the United States Navy that participated in both the Battle of the Coral Sea and the Battle of Midway, but was then sunk during the Battle of Savo Island. David died during the war and is buried in an unmarked grave in Townsville Qld.
