Framing Grace Tame in the News Media

Earlier this year, former Australian of the Year Grace Tame sparked controversy by not smiling in a photograph with the prime minister. A polarizing debate ensued in the Australian news media surrounding Tame, contemporary feminism and the politics of civility.
Pink Rabbit’s Shannon Rawlings conducted research into representations of Tame during this period in order to explore the ideological beliefs about contemporary feminism reflected by the Australian news media.
