Metaverse the last resort for threatened nations

The pacific nation Tuvalu has announced that it plans to create a digital reproduction in the metaverse of itself amid threats of climate change at COP27 this week.
The plan is in response to the worst case scenario that could see the island swallowed by rising sea levels, but it is also a warning to world leaders about the increasing severity of climate change.
Professor of Urban Informatics at the Queensland University of Technology, Marcus Foth, joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann to talk about this unorthodox idea.
