First budget announced—What comes ahead?

The government handed down its first budget in power since the May election, setting the tone for how it will govern over the coming year and working to address some of the growing issues facing our country in the foreseeable future.
So what can we take away from this budget and what should we recognise could be some ongoing issues into the future?
