SCIENTISTS WARN: TREE SPECIES ARE DISAPPEARING

Humans have spent many thousands of years on this planet and yet nobody is sure how many kinds of trees there are. What we do know now after a massive multi-year project, scientists report back with a warning that the Earth is losing tree cover and trees are facing a massive species extinction event.
Experts behind the Global Tree Assessment just issued, “Scientists’ warning to humanity on tree extinctions.” Radio Ecoshock’s Alex Smith talks to Dr. Malin Rivers, an internationally recognised expert from Botanic Gardens Conservation International.
