Greens to move for energy transition authority

Posted on: Wed 28 Sep 2022

Following on from the successful passing of the Federal Government’s climate bill, The Greens will give notice of a Bill to establish a National Energy Transition Authority.

The announcement comes after the climate bill negotiations between The Greens and the government, during which the government undertook to consider The Greens’ proposal.

The Greens were the only party to campaign at the election on a fully costed platform for a National Energy Transition Authority.

To find out more, Barometer’s Des Lawrence spoke to The Greens Industry, Transition and Regional Development spokesperson, Senator Penny Allman-Payne.
