Government Carbon Credit Scheme ‘Sham’

Professor Andrew Macintosh, Associate Dean ANU College of Law, and former head of the Emissions Reduction Assurance Committee, released a critique of the carbon credit scheme just before the last Federal election, claiming the scheme is largely wasting taxpayers’ money, by paying for credits that are not achieving emissions reduction. Now the Labor Government has announced a review of the scheme headed by Professor Ian Chubb. Andrew Macintosh spoke to Barometer’s Barry Mitchell in May.
