You’ve probably been to watch a friend’s footy game, perhaps you’ve participated in a local netball tournament, or maybe you’re a hockey player or a soccer enthusiast. But, have you ever been to an official competitive dodgeball game? It’s not a sport that springs to mind when we think of the biggies, but the popularity of non-traditional sports is growing.
Breakfast’s Ayla Liebenberg and Kate Johnson were joined by our sports correspondent from Western Sydney University, Dr Michelle O’Shea, to dig a little deeper into the rise of non-traditional sports.
