Will Adelaide Botanic Gardens dump SANTOS sponsorship?

Why did Extinction Rebellion hold a silent vigil in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens? The Climate Change Alliance of Botanic Gardens declares that “The world’s botanic gardens are custodians of critically needed scientific and horticultural knowledge, and their landscapes a source of inspiration, learning and a place for positive social change”. The Adelaide Botanic Gardens Museum of Economic Botany ought to epitomize these values. SANTOS sponsorship is completely inconsistent with them and XRSA demand it be dropped before the 7th Global Botanic Gardens Congress in Melbourne in September, the theme of which is “Influence and Action: Botanic Gardens as Agents of Change”.
