Regenerating Australia is a short film currently touring the country, with hundreds of community screenings so far. It’s fact-based dreaming, to replace a doomsday narrative about the climate crisis that leaves people immobilized. So says film maker/actor Damon Gameau. Maybe you saw him in Tracker, or Balibo. He directed That Sugar Film and 2040. Animal Beatbox won the 2011 Tropfest film festival. The hallmark of all his films is passion and commitment as well as skill. When he spoke with Marty Summers and Nicky Page Marty asked Damon if his passion comes from being a father of 2 young children.
