Special Guest Interviewer military historian Dr James Hurst chats with Shirley Gash about her father Erle (aka Erie), a stretcher-bearer in WW2 serving in the battle of El Alamein, Italy and Germany who never forgot the value of humanity.
The Red Cross became Erle’s lifelong passion. Shirley explains why, and how she is honouring his legacy by leaving a bequest in her Will.
