In 1977, the guillotine was last used to execute someone. By this time the guillotine had been in use for 180 years.

In 1945, a farmer in Colorado, Lloyd Olsen, went to his yard to get a chicken to cook for dinner, but when he went to behead it his axe missed the jugular vein and left most of the brain stem intact. Mike the chicken was still alive the next morning and lived for the next 18 months without his head.

In 1990, Will Smith made his debut on 90s sitcom ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’.
