In 1960, Chubby Checker performed his version of the Hank Ballard tune “The Twist” and an accompanying dance on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand and sparked a worldwide dance craze.
In 1997, Microsoft made a US$150 million investment in Apple that saved the company from the brink of bankruptcy; a move that was seen as an olive branch between the two rivals during a competitive time.
In 1973, Stevie Wonder was involved in a car crash that sent him into a four day coma.
