Posted on: Thu 24 Jun 2021
Jesse Budel is a composer-performer and sound artist who will be curating the monthly MUD event tonight at Ancient World.
During his PhD, which he completed in 2019, his research focus on soundscape ecology and composition led him to produce creative work that interacted with South Australian soundscapes and ecosystems. His continuing work in environmental sound has included community projects like Riverland Biosphere Soundscape Lab, Featherstone Sound Space and Murray Bridge Piano Sanctuary.
He is currently serving as Secretary for the Australian Forum for Acoustic Ecology and World Forum for Acoustic Ecology.
He speaks with Breakfast producer Anisha Pillarisetty ahead of the MUD show tonight about the innovative field of Acoustic Ecology and what to expect from the set tonight.
