Insects for dinner?

A shift towards insect-based food products has long been on the horizon for Australia.
This week, the CSIRO has launched an edible insects industry roadmap to ensure Australia can reap the environmental, as well as personal, benefits of an insect-based diet.
CSIRO research scientist Rocio Ponce-Reyes joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Paul Davies to discuss why the CSIRO are recommending an insect-rich diet, and how insects such as crickets and ants can easily be incorporated into everyday meals.
