MUD: a night of improvisation and extended domains
Posted on: Thu 29 Apr 2021
MUD is a monthly event being held at Ancient World that welcomes musicians, performers and other artists to improvise through open, experimental and considered free expression, and aims to cultivate a safe, accessible and welcoming environment.
This Thursday marks the second ever MUD, and Local Noise’s Anisha Pillarisetty speaks to organisers Constantine Stefanou and Mungo Fagan ahead of the night.
The conversation meanders through some expected terrain veering into:
why MUD (+why not soil)?
what are extended domains?
is improvising (more than) what meets the ear?
and an audio rendition of the wonderful poster art by local artist Madeleine Larkin.
