New women’s taskforce: progress or platitude?

Awareness around consent and sexual assault has surged over the past few months, following a string of alleged instances of sexual misconduct within the Federal Government.
The latest attempt to address the issue is a new women’s cabinet taskforce -aimed at adjusting government policy on issues like women’s safety, equality, and economic security.
Fiona Mort, head of the national domestic violence and sexual assault hotline 1800 RESPECT, talks about how we can measure the taskforce’s success.
