On this day in history:
in 1889, George Eastman begins selling his Kodak flexible rolled film for the first time.
From the phonogram to digital and now on our mobile phones, film is one of many stages that photography has passed through.
Also on this day in history, in 1722 Peter the Great, Tsar of Russia, ended the tax on men with beards.
Back then, they would use anything to get a few pennies out of you.
In 2016 the first baby was born with DNA from three parents through a mitochrondrial transfer in Mexico. The baby would be five years old today.
In 1974, ABBA represented Sweeden in the 19th Eurovision Song Contest and won singing “Waterloo”.
