Blue Carbon

Posted on: Tue 23 Mar 2021

Carbon is black right? Well not all of it. ‘Blue Carbon’ refers to carbon dioxide that is locked away in our marine environments – particularly in seagrass, coral reefs and mangroves. Barometer’s Barry Mitchell spoke to Dr Oscar Serrano, marine ecologist and research fellow at Edith Cowan University in WA.
