New tech to speed up bushfire detection?

The Australian National University National Bushfire Initiative team have been developing an ambitious fire-fighting plan with innovative techniques.
One idea is a constellation of bushfire-spotting satellites equipped with infrared sensors that could detect trouble within minutes.
Also, researchers may have an answer to preventing lethal allergic reactions – and it may lie in our own immune systems.
And last, but definitely not least, can scientists have found a way to convert plastic into a soft, silky material that we can wear and doesn’t hurt the planet as much to produce?
