Supporting the fight for democracy in Myanmar

Thousands and thousands of ordinary people are striking, marching and organizing across Myanmar to defend the NLD government which was clearly elected last November but removed by a military coup on February 1st. David Bacon lived in the country for many years. He knows many of the people involved and is working hard to raise funds to support them. David was living and working in Myanmar at the time of their 2015 election. An election that Ang San Suu Kyi and others had fought long and hard for. He wrote a moving piece at that time, and when Nicky Page spoke to him on Radio Adelaide she started by reading out David’s words.
