Yenn Purkis (pronouns: they/them) is an asexual, transgender and non-binary autistic advocate, author, blogger, radio presenter and public speaker, currently residing in Canberra.
From serving time in prison to educating families and professionals on topics including autism, neurodiversity, mental health and gender diversity, Purkis spoke candidly with De-Stigmatised‘s Jarad McLoughlin about their self disciplined approach to calling out ableist and transphobic ideologies, attitudes and language through blogging, self-advocacy and sharing daily ‘philosophical, prolific, thought-provoking’ memes (yemes) on social media.
