Sport may help ATSI kids for better school results

Posted on: Mon 8 Feb 2021

Recent research suggests that playing organised sports may help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders children obtain better academic results.

This research was conducted by the University of South Australia (UniSA), the University of Sydney and the University of Technology Sydney.

Lead researcher, Dr Dot Dumuid from UniSA, joins Tom Mann to discuss the findings of this study which might be a great help to bridge the educational gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous children.
