Shift away from Australia Day in national sport

In the lead up to January 26, Cricket Australia announced its intentions to drop references to Australia Day in its Big Bash promotions.
The change came to acknowledge the growing section of society that sees the date as a day not to be celebrated and is in fact a painful day for many Indigenous people.
