Domestic Violence Prevention in Emergency Responses

Natural disasters are of course highly distressing time for everyone involved. But an added stressor for many that can be difficult to address or even see is the increase these events have on domestic and family violence. 

Recent research shows that women in Bushfire affected areas suffered higher numbers of domestic violence in Victoria three years after the Black Saturday bushfires.

Tom Mann speaks with Dr Jennifer Boddy, Associate Professor of the School of Learning and Teaching from Griffith University to learn more.
