Survival Day 2021

Posted on: Thu 28 Jan 2021

January 26th is a National Day of Mourning, recognising and reflecting on the ongoing effects of colonisation on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

This year, like many before, thousands of people gathered across the country to come together, listen, and mourn.

Pink Rabbit’s Soph Landau takes us to the Survival Day march which took place on Kaurna Land, to hear some of the words shared by Keenan Smith, Natasha Wanganeen, Uncle Jeffrey Newchurch, Stella Nola Ahkit Burgoyne, Kahlia Gibson, Uncle Dave James, and Cele Rowe.
