Surviving domestic violence in Mexico
Posted on: Fri 22 Jan 2021
Cecilia Vences-Salinas is a survivor of Domestic Violence from Mexico and wrote a book about her experience about hardship she and many others have been through.
After applying for divorce in her country, Cecilia fought for the custody of her two daughters. Within the four-year legal process, she had to learn law and defend herself against a person with greater financial resources.
Breakfast producer David Bucio spoke with Cecilia about her journey in which she was transformed after having to provide for her daughters within times of hunger, times of feeling trapped.
