Bumpy beginnings for Australian Summer Sport

The organisers and athletes involved in 2021 Australian summer sport fixtures are not sure if they are coming or going. The cricket has been staged, the Formula 1 has postponed its Melbourne event until November, and the Australian Open preparations are going into chaos—five positive Covid-19 cases have appeared among passengers on the tournament’s charter flights.
Sport correspondent, Dr Michelle O’Shea from Western Sydney University, joins Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis the challenges faced by sport organisers to go ahead with their plans through border restrictions, Covid cases and other complexities.
