SA: World’s First Electric Car Grinch!

Electric car owners and intending owners were pleased last week at the SA Government’s announcement of $18million towards EV infrastructure, only to be deflated by the following news that the Treasurer wants to impose a road tax on EVs – a world first disincentive to the transition to electric vehicles – in a country which already makes their ownership disproportionately expensive. Barry Mitchell spoke to Electric Vehicle Council CEO Behyad Jafari.
