It was a memorable weekend for Australian sport as the Richmond Tigers won the AFL premiership and Melbourne Storm clinched the NRL title.
Australian sport in 2020 will be remembered for the remarkable ways in which Australian codes responded and adapted to the covid-19 crisis, for example, by relocating players and adjusting schedules.
But, can Australian sport show the same level of commitment to address climate change?
Professor of Media and Communications Studies at Monash University, Brett Hutchins joins Breakfast to discuss what sporting codes might do to protect the environment.
