How have the JobSeeker cuts impacted Australians?

In September this year the JobSeeker payment was cut by $300 a fortnight, with the COVID Supplement lowered from $550 to $250 a fortnight.
The cut was expected to have a significant impact on the ability of people on the JobSeeker payment to cover the cost of housing, food, medicine, bills, and other essentials.
Rita is a JobSeeker recipient who speaks with Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis to discuss the impact of these changes three weeks on.
