Magical thinking and wondrous storytelling with Trent Dalton

If you love your stories told with a hearty sprinkle of imagination and whimsy, and with the forward momentum of a freight train, Trent Dalton’s first two novels could well tick the box. His debut, Boy Swallows Universe, was met with critical acclaim and a garnered him a legion of fans and the follow-up, All Our Shimmering Skies, is certain to follow suit.
Trent Dalton spoke with Festival City’s Sarah Martin about magical thinking and creating adventurous stories that touch on culture, horror and wonder.
