Chris – Winner, Poetry Slam Heat #1

It’s been a tough year in the arts industry, but Spoken Word SA has been lucky enough **touch wood** to run an only slightly modified Poetry Slam season this year (full details on the website). Rick went along to the first heat a few weeks ago and the winning poem – about the specific inner turmoil of a stranger forcing you to decide whether to hide your true self or be in a potentially dangerous situation – resonated with him. He invited the poet, Chris Jaksa, onto the show.
