Celebrating NAIDOC Week online

Some of SA’s most talented musicians are coming together to celebrate what would have been NAIDOC Week 2020.
The event has been postponed till November due to COVID-19, so the Adelaide Festival Centre is launching a virtual event in the lead up.
Artists Jessica Wishart, J-MILLA, Corey Theatre, Nathan May and Nancy Bates, have each responded to this year’s NAIDOC Week theme ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’.
“People talk about it being a divisive theme, and you’ve got to put the right lens on,” Nancy tells presenter Tara Nash.
“If you see it as divisive, then you’re not looking at it the right way.
“All Australians should be really bloody proud that we’ve got over 65 thousand years of history in this country.”
