On this day in history;
In 1974, Frank Drake and Carl Sagan wrote a 1,679 bit message (pictured) containing essential human information, which was broadcast 23,000 light years to the M13 Star Cluster.
In 1961, the US released a treaty for the world’s country’s to sign ensuring the Antarctic continent would be used only for peaceful and scientific international collaboration.
