The Pacific island nation of Nauru is well known as a site for Australia’s offshore asylum seeker and refugee detentions. But Nauru is one of many Pacific Island nations already feeling the effects of global environmental change. Barometer’s Des Lawrence speaks to Anja Kanngieser, Vice Chancellor’s Research Fellow, at the University of Wollongong to examine the issues facing these Pacific Island nations.
