Linking Animals to the Stars in Australian Aboriginal Astronomy

If you are fascinated by the stars, the team at the University of Melbourne have explored the dark skies and its celestial objects through the lens of Aboriginal history and knowledge.

A major research project is currently underway looking into the roles of plants and animals in Indigenous Goorie astronomy and how it can be used to calculate the emerging effects of climate change.

Here, we learn about some recent research that has uncovered and reframed lessons we can learn from astronomy.
