Ernabella Anangu School comes to WOMAD

The music program at Ernabella Anangu School has opened up new opportunities for student Jontae.
He’s now come to Adelaide to perform for WOMAD.
Along with Elisha, an ex Wiltja Student now SSO at Ernabella Anangu School, they will perform at Northern Sound System Studio.
“We don’t see it as two aboriginal people rapping trying to make it big, trying to get all the glory,” Elisha says.
“It’s about leaders teaching youngers for generations to carry on the traditions and the songs.
“Not only taught by the elders, but getting the younger ones up to role model and mentor students, like Jontae.”
