Waitangi Day 2020 commemorates 180 years since the since the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi, between the British Crown and a number of Māori chiefs.
New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern used the day to ask the country to have the courage to walk comfortably in each other’s shoes.
