In 2013 the archaic law prohibiting women from wearing pants was finally nullified in France. Minister for Women’s rights Najat Vallaud-Belkacem said the rule, while obviously outdated, was with other aspects of France’s ‘judicial archaeology’ incompatible with the nation’s principles.
In 1913 Rosa Parks was born, who would go on to spark a civil rights revolution in 1955.
In 2004, the website Facebook was launched.
In 2014 the Foreign Minister of Libya announced that all of the country’s chemical weapons had finally been destroyed.
