Jemma Taylor on Parramatta Attack and Alan Jones
Posted on: Tue 26 Nov 2019
The 25th of November marked the International Day of the Elimination of Violence Against Women. However, this has been a difficult week with multiple vile examples of violence against women persisting in society.
Rana Elasmar was physically assaulted while heavily pregnant by a 43 year old man in a Parramatta Cafe last Friday. More positively however, a 50% decrease in revenue for Alan Jones’ radio show has resulted from the Advertising boycott following his violent comments made towards Jacinda Ardern.
Feminist insider Jemma Taylor from the YWCA joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis to discuss these events and other happenings in the feminism sphere.
