Paddle Out for the Bight

Posted on: Sun 24 Nov 2019

On Saturday 23rd November people turned up at beaches around the country armed with surfboards, kayaks, paddleboards or bits of wood, to paddle out and show their displeasure and fears about the prospect of oil company Equinor drilling for oil in the Great Australian Bight. Barry Mitchell spoke to people at the Port Willunga gathering, including organiser Thalia from Wild South, Kaurna community leader Karl Telfer, and State MP Leon Bignell.
