On This Day;
In 1974, 28-year-old nuclear power plant worker Karen Silkwood was killed in a car accident near Crescent, Oklahoma, north of Oklahoma City.
Critical of the health and safety regulations at the plant and attempting to report to The New York Times, it appeared she was run off the road to avoid alerting the public.
